Carolina Quilt Studio, located in Greenville, SC, is a family owned and operated quilting studio. We are Dale and Jimmy Hernandez. Our journey started in November 2019 when we bought an existing Innova longarm sales, training and service business.
The two of us are very much hands on with the daily business activities and love interacting with everyone who comes in the studio from near and far. Jimmy is the guy who will service your machines, help troubleshoot any issues you may have with your longarm, and never meets a stranger. He’s also the creative builder of CQS Designs; sewing room furniture built to fit your space and your needs.
Dale is the creative quilter, whose love of quilting started this journey we’re on and love doing together. Dale loves to design and piece quilt tops. She loves working with the automated longarms to finish quilts for herself and others. By engaging in the entire quilt process, Dale can share her creativity and ideas with others while also learning from them.
We recruited one of our daughters, Carmen, to help with the day-to-day business as well. She runs the longarms, helps with customer service, sales and training, and does most of our social media/videos. So, when you come in you may get to meet Carmen and her son, Dastan (he’s the real boss). Beware though, Dastan is known to bring bolts of fabric and quilting goodies to our customers. Another family member that you may occasionally see at the studio is our dog, Soga. Soga loves attention, so he’ll definitely be looking for it while you are here.
We are the authorized Innova longarm quilting machines dealer for South Carolina and North Carolina. We specialize in sales, service, training and support for all Innova longarms. Since buying the business, we have added a lot more quilting fabric (including a large assortment of wide backs and Shannon cuddle) and notions to the studio. We also offer quilting services for those who need their quilt tops finished. However, if you’d like to finish your own quilt, we offer longarm rental services once certified. Classes being offered range from beginning quilting to paper piecing, and applique to longarming, to using quilting software and so much more.
