Hi!, I’m Sherry and Welcome to Sherry’s Sew What?
We are located at 798 Lizard Creek Road, Henrico, NC (beautiful Lake Gaston, NC/VA).
After retiring from the U.S. Navy I was seeking a new and challenging career. When my hobby started encroaching on every room in our house, my husband decided I needed a separate place to enjoy my passions – people, sewing, piecing, quilting and embroidering. So, he built a beautiful building for me and I have 3000 square feet and over 2,000 bolts of sewing enjoyment for you to shop and browse in.
Established in 2017, we cater to a diverse customer base – our local population, weekenders here to enjoy the lake and annual vacationers that come from all over the country. Stocked with Free Spirit, Hoffman, Northcott, Benartex, Michael Miller, Blank, StudioE and more, we have numerous options for shoppers. And, I have a wide selection of quality batiks for your quilts and sewing projects.
In addition to routine quilt shop support for our sewers, we offer longarm quilting, custom embroidery and miscellaneous sewing needs. We have a spacious, well-equipped classroom area and love to host “open sew” for our customers as individuals and/or groups.
